Project StarPaw
Honoring Rachel’s light and Paris’s joy by creating moments cancer can’t take away.
Project StarPaw is building deeply personal experiences for individuals and families facing cancer. Time to laugh, rest, celebrate, or simply be together, shaped around what matters to each family.
The story behind the symbol
Rachel’s light. Paris’s joy. Love at the center.
Rachel was my friend. Paris was my Jack Russell. They were both facing cancer at the same time, and both left a light I wanted to carry forward.
Before Project StarPaw had a name, friends and volunteers came together to create an extraordinary day for Rachel. That day showed what thoughtful people could make possible for one family.
The Star honors Rachel’s light. The Paw carries Paris’s joy. The upside-down heart at the center holds the love that connects them.
StarPaw Experiences
What would make this family’s brightest day?
That question is where we begin. It might lead to a long-held dream, a favorite outing, a quiet stay together, or a treasured family tradition. We are developing these experiences carefully, with the family’s comfort, privacy, and wishes at the center.
Our programs are in development. The descriptions below share what we are building.
The Brightest Star Experience
Our signature experience, imagined around one family’s brightest possible day and the details that would make it unmistakably theirs.
Day Dreams
Personalized days built around joy, connection, and the things a family loves most.
Family Experiences and Retreats
Time and space to rest, reconnect, share a meal, play, and enjoy being a family.
Holiday Celebrations
Thoughtful ways to preserve or reimagine the traditions a family loves when cancer changes the season.
Pawsitivity in Motion
Turning miles into moments.
Berlin 2026 was Project StarPaw’s first endeavor: a chance to carry Rachel’s light and Paris’s joy forward while supporting Flatwater’s work for people affected by cancer.
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared the story, and cheered us on. You helped make this first chapter possible.
The Berlin fundraiser supported Flatwater. Project StarPaw did not receive or control the campaign’s donations.
StarPaw Legacy Fund
We are developing the StarPaw Legacy Fund to offer practical support and meaningful acts of care for families facing cancer. Sometimes one less burden can make room for a moment of peace.
The fund is in development. It is not an active assistance program and is not accepting donations.
The Constellation
A thoughtful introduction. A place to gather. A skill that solves a problem. The Constellation is the invitation-only network we are building to bring those possibilities together, beginning in Central Florida.
